Why isn’t every product available every day of the week?
The farmers and foodmakers on The Milkmen have different production, harvest and delivery schedules, so some items are only available on certain days of the week.
How far in advance do I need to place my order?
The day before - if you order before 10pm, you'll get your groceries the next day. Groceries this fresh aren’t sitting in a warehouse - many of the local products we carry will be delivered to us the morning of your delivery!
How do I add to or edit my order?
You can change the products, time, or location of your order on the My Orders page anytime anytime before the order window closes at 10pm the day before your delivery date. Go to theMy Orders page and click the Edit button. The Edit button won’t be visible once the window has closed and your order is being processed. If you want to change your delivery date after you’ve ordered, just call or send us an email and we’ll help you out.
How do I make changes to an order after the delivery window closes?
The Edit button will no longer appear on the My Orders page once the window is closed and we start processing your order. We cannot accommodate any changes to the contents of your order at that point. If you need to change your delivery information, please contact us.
Can I cancel an order? How?
You can cancel an order up until the order window closes. Order window closes at 10pm the day before your delivery. To cancel an order, sign in and then go to My Account and then My Orders. Click the Edit button next to your order and remove all the items, then save your changes.
Unfortunately, we aren't able to refund last minute cancellations. We give our farmers and foodmakers this courtesy so that they can prepare and deliver your food. This means that it always comes to you as fresh as possible!
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
You don't. We can leave your groceries in a secure spot at your home or office, like inside an unlocked front gate or with the receptionist. During checkout, please enter specific instructions (like the gate code or how to get in the apartment building or which door you’d like us to use). All cold items are packed in insulated sleeves with reusable ice packs so they'll stay cold while you head home.
Do you have a minimum order?
In order to operate sustainably, we don't take orders below $30.
What if I miss my delivery?
We understand that life happens, so if you miss a delivery, we'll do our best to get you your groceries. Give us a call so we can figure out the best solution for you.
A redelivery fee may apply or you can always come to ourFoodhub (aka our building) the next day to get your groceries. In the meantime, we'll hold your order overnight at our Foodhub in temperature-appropriate conditions to keep it as fresh as possible. Please note that we can't hold your groceries in-house for more than 48 hours.
How do I return containers with a deposit?
You can return containers directly to your delivery driver or leave them by your door when you’re expecting a delivery. We collect all containers with a deposit (which we'll refund upon receipt).
How do I return your reusable cold packaging and ice packs?
You can return the items directly to your delivery driver or leave them by your door when ou’re expecting a delivery. We'll collect and reuse them. We'll gladly take back your paper bags as well - due to health codes, we can't reuse them, but we do recycle them.
Help! I’ll be out of town for two weeks. How do skip an upcoming Weeklies subscription order?
Log in to The Milkmen and click on the My Weeklies link in the upper right hand corner. You’ll see an option to “Skip this order” on any upcoming orders that aren’t yet being processed. If the date of your delivery is 7 or fewer days away, you can cancel the order by removing all the items in it from My Orders.
Should I tip the delivery driver?
It's so kind of you to ask, but our drivers don't accept tips. We are committed to creating good food jobs that don’t depend on them.
How do I contact one of the farmers or foodmakers on your site?
We can put you in touch with a producer or pass along feedback—just email or call us and we’ll make it happen.
How do I change my credit card on file?
Log in to The Milkmen, click your name in the upper right hand corner, and click on the My Account page. Edit away!
If you want to change the card on file for an order already in the works, please send us an email or give us a call.
When will I be charged?
We bill your card when the order window closes, which is typically 10pm the day before your delivery. Subscription orders are also billed when the order window closes. We send a full receipt when we bill your card, around 10pm the day before you receive your groceries. Note that we authorize your card when you place the order and it may look like an actual charge if you use online banking. However, we will not actually charge your card until the order window closes.
How do I get a receipt?
We email a full receipt when we bill your card, which is around 10pm the day before your grocery delivery.
What is your return policy?
We want you to be thrilled with your order. If you’re not, let us know and we’ll make it right.

We have a set of criteria that all of our producers meet, and it covers a range of factors from sustainable farming practices to transparent sourcing to treating employees well.

When can I reach you by phone?

We want you to be thrilled with your order. If you’re not, let us know and we’ll make it right. You can cancel or change your order for a full refund up until 10pm the day before your scheduled delivery day. Just click on your name and then the "My Orders" tab at the top of the marketplace page to edit.
